Generally, the inspection and supervision of dengue prevention and control are concerned by all levels, sectors and localities. District People's Committee promptly directs the prevention and control of dengue in the area and allocates funds for implementing two rounds of the campaign to kill larvae. The branches and unions have closely coordinated with the health sector in implementing the larvicidal campaign. Most of the treatment facilities have plans to accept, treat and receive patients for treatment in accordance with the protocol of the Ministry of Health.

As of August 31, 2020, the whole province recorded 303 outbreaks and 1,337 cases of dengue, the number of cases decreased by 62.4 percent compared to the same period in 2019. The number of outbreaks handled reached 98.7 percent (4 outbreaks are not handled because the patient is not present in the area). Districts with high numbers of cases are Duc Hoa, Ben Luc, Tan An City, Can Duoc and Can Giuoc. No death was recorded, decreased by 1 case over the same period.

However, the epidemic treatment is difficult in industrial zones and clusters with many inns and workers, so they do not spray mosquito repellent in each room and surrounding environment. The staff in charge of the district and communal dengue program concurrently is in charge of many programs and changes constantly, so they have no experience in anti-epidemic work.

The treatment system does not pay attention to taking samples to test serum viruses in dengue prevention and control. Human resources for chemical spraying are still limited. The People's Committee of the communes in some localities has not yet paid attention to timely support in epidemic prevention and control, and also considers it the responsibility of the health sector.

At the conference, delegates focused on sharing experiences, good models in implementing dengue prevention and control. At the same time, they analyzed and evaluated the reasons why the key industrial districts had many cases in order to provide effective solutions for disease prevention and control in the coming time.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa suggested that, together with the proactive prevention and control of Covid-19, departments, sectors, unions, localities should strengthen to implement the measures to prevent and control dengue, control other infectious diseases such as hand-foot-mouth, chickenpox, etc.

Dengue is transmitted by mosquitoes, so it is important to kill mosquitoes and larvae. Communication should be promoted to help people raise their awareness, responsibility, join hands with the community in epidemic prevention and control. The heads of the People's Committees of localities are responsible to the provincial People's Committee for disease prevention and fighting and community health protection in their localities.

The Health sector reviews and supplies a full range of medical equipment and supplies for epidemic prevention and control for localities; increase risk factors for disease outbreaks; step up inspection and supervision of epidemics in order to thoroughly handle small outbreaks as soon as they are detected, so as not to spread on a large scale./.
