Ministry of Health establishes Covid-19 Intensive Resuscitation Center in Long An

Minister of Health - Nguyen Thanh Long comes to survey and choose the location to establish the CIRC in Long An

The CIRC under Thai Nguyen Central GH in Long An province (hereafter referred to as the) has a scale of 150 beds, located at No. 139 Nguyen Thai Binh, Ward 3, Tan An City, Long An Province.

The Central Covid-19 Resuscitation Center is the last level in the treatment ladder for Covid-19 patients in Long An province and neighboring provinces with the function of organizing the collection, emergency and treatment of severe or critical Covid-19 patients, and directing, guiding and providing professional and technical support in emergency, intensive care and treatment of Covid-19 patients for facilities that collect, treat and care for Covid-19 patients in the assigned areas.

The MoH assigned the Director of Thai Nguyen Central GH to mobilize medical human resources, facilities and equipment of Thai Nguyen Central GH, of Long An province and other lawful sources to serve the performance under assigned tasks. It organizes the collection, emergency and treatment of severe or critical Covid-19 patients; coordinates with the Long An Department of Health to direct and guide medical facilities in the area in coordinating and transferring Covid-19 patients to the Center to ensure timely, safely and effectively, comply with the technical guidelines of the MoH.

At the same time, it is proposed to Long An People's Committee to direct provincial departments, agencies and sectors to coordinate and support the Central Covid-19 Resuscitation Center in ensuring infrastructure, equipment and working conditions and logistics, security and order, arrangement of places to eat and rest for officials and employees of the Center during the performance of their duties in Long An; periodically or irregularly report the results of the collection, treatment and emergency resuscitation of Covid-19 patients to the MoH.

The Central Covid-19 Resuscitation Center has legal status, has its own seal and shares the account of Thai Nguyen Central GH to carry out activities in accordance with the law. The Center's operating expenses come from the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control fund and other lawful funding sources. The center will be dissolved after completing its mission.

It is known that, on July 30, Minister of Health - Nguyen Thanh Long visited and selected the location to establish the Covid-19 Intensive Resuscitation Center in Long An. Facing the complicated and unpredictable developments of the epidemic situation, the establishment of the Intensive Resuscitation Center for Covid-19 patients aims to improve the capacity of emergency, active resuscitation, and response to collect and treat severe Covid-19 patients will increase in the near future./.
