More support for families of dead, missing people in central flood

VND5 million (US$ 215.2) and VND3 million ($129) were given to families of dead and missing people and families of seriously injured people in central provinces of Quang Tri, Thua thien – Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai , Binh Dinh and Da Nang .

According to the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, ten dead and missing people were reported, hundreds of houses’ roofs were blown off and submerged, and hundred hectares of paddy fields were damaged.

Before, the standing board of VFFCC had phoned to encourage families of victims of natural disaster in above-mentioned provinces.
The standing board highly praised local party committees, administrations and unions for visiting and assisting victims and families of dead and missing people in the flood.

To continue helping victims and families, the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requested its sub-divisions in such provinces to work with local administration and natural disaster prevention and control commandeering boards to collect statistics of loss and damage to further assistance in a bid and give more aid to people./.
