The Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee highlighted comrade Nguyen Huu Tho's great contributions to the revolution of Vietnam and his native homeland of Long An province. He was formerly Acting President, NA Chairman, Chairman of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Advisory Council of the Provisional Revolutionary Government of the Republic of South Vietnam, and delegate of the NA in Course VI, VII, VIII, etc. He was a prestigious and talented socio-political activist; exemplary communists, devoted to the country, devoted to the people, all their lives striving for the cause of struggle for national independence, national unity and national construction.

Long An is proud because it is the birthplace of the country's elite children. It inherited and promoted the passionate patriotism, heroic revolutionary tradition that many generations of ancestors have nurtured, including comrade Nguyen Huu Tho, Party Committee, government and people of Long An won glorious victories in the war against aggression and national defense, crystallized into eight golden words "Trung dung, kien cuong, toan dan danh giac” (With loyalty and valiance, the whole people participate in fighting enemy).

The representative of the young generation, Nguyen Tam Binh, a student of class 12A8, Nguyen Huu Tho High School shared his feelings about the late lawyer and promised to strive to study and follow Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho to build his country.

On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Huu Chau - the eldest son of comrade Nguyen Huu Tho and his relatives and family donated 50 million VND to the Nguyen Huu Tho’s Scholarship Fund. The leaders of the NA, the State, the Government and the province also visited and presented flowers in gratitude to the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and Labor Heroes during the Renewal Period.

Before the ceremony, the leaders also offered incense to Mr. Nguyen Huu Tho at his Memorial Temple; and watched documentary film about the history, life, career of the late lawyer./.
