NA Chairwoman - Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan proposes that the province continued to exploit its potential for socio-economic development

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Tran Van Can informed the delegation about the situation of implementing the Resolution of the Xth Provincial Party Congress, term 2015-2020, with a focus on the 2020 tasks and the preparation and organization of the Congress of Party Committee at all levels towards to the XIIIth National Congress of Party.

Accordingly, in the term 2015-2020, the main targets of the Resolution are concerned to implement, many important targets exceed the set targets. There are 18 out of 20 targets reached and exceeded, 2 targets achieved at a fairly level. The average economic growth rate in the period 2016-2020 is estimated at about 9.62 percent per year. The economic structure has shifted in the right direction. GRDP per capita in 2020 is estimated at 79 million VND. The management and administration of state budget revenues and expenditures carried out strictly and effectively reached and exceeded the plan every year.

Culture and society have made great progress, cultural and social infrastructure is increasingly improved, social security is always guaranteed. National defense and security have been strengthened; expanded foreign affairs. The construction and adjustment of the Party in accordance with the fourth Resolution of the Party Central Committee attached to the Party's regulations on setting an example are carried out promptly, closely and seriously.

In the first 6 months of 2020, Long An fulfills its "dual" goals of both preventing and fighting Covid-19 epidemic while developing socio-economic development.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee strictly observes the Politburo's Directive No. 35 on the progressive party congress to the XIIIth National Party Congress of the Party and central documents and instructions. Up to now, the whole province has 565 out of 565 Party organizations of 19 Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee that have finished the meeting.

Including the project of National Highway (NH) 62 (linking NH 1A - Ho Chi Minh City Highway, Trung Luong - NH N2- NH N1 and Binh Hiep international border Gate); upgrade and expand NH N2 in Duc Hoa - My An - Cao Lanh; Ho Chi Minh Road (section of Chon Thanh in Binh Phuoc province - Duc Hoa); soon allocate Government bond capital in the period of 2014-2016 road project from NH 62 - Tan Hung (Road connecting channel 79), Road 827E; Ring Road 3 and 4 of Ho Chi Minh City, etc.

NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan highly appreciated the efforts and strives of the Party Committee, authorities and people of Long An province and the business community in recent years. At the same time, she asked the province to continue to do well the work of building the Party, especially well prepared for the provincial Party Congress, the XIIIth National Party Congress.
