National Public Service Portal makes debut
On December 9, the Prime Minister, Chairman of the National E-Government Committee - Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired the opening ceremony of the National Public Service Portal. The event was reported online to 63 end-point bridges nationwide.

At Long An end-point bridge, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa and leaders of provincial departments, agencies, People's Committees of 15 districts, town and city in the province attended the conference.
According to the Minister-Chairman of the Government Office Mai Tien Dung, the portal offers 5 online public services at all 63 provinces and cities, including changing of driver licenses; announcement of promotion activities; reissuance of health insurance cards; provision of low-voltage and medium-voltage electricity services; payment of electricity bills. Moreover, the portal also offers 4 ministerial-level public services such as issuance of international driver licenses, registration for promotion, service group on issuance of goods origin certification and e-tax payment for businesses.
In addition, for the 4 localities that have integrated in 2019 (Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Hai Phong), the portal will provide some additional public services, such as business household registration, tax registration, birth application, etc.
With the motto "People and businesses are the focus to serve", the portal is the focal point to publicize information about administrative procedures; provide and support the implementation of public services on demand and suitable to each object; ensure the ability of individuals, organizations to monitor, inspect and evaluate and the state agencies' accountability in providing public services.
When accessing dichvucong.gov.vn, citizens and businesses can log in to all ministerial and provincial - level portals; monitor implementation status; assessing the quality of settlement; make recommendations without depending on time and administrative boundaries.

Prime Minister - Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked the Government Office, ministries, branches and localities nationwide to continue promoting propaganda so that people, businesses know, use and support the operation of the portal.
In particular, thanks to shared data, the portal contributes to strengthening the state management, monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of administrative procedures; aiming to digitize paper documents, change from using paper records and direct transactions to using documents and electronic transactions, provide public services without depending on time and administrative boundaries.
The portal also contributes to enhancing accountability and policy response capacity, promoting the administrative reform process; improving Vietnam's position in the online public service index in the e-government development index according to the annual ranking of the United Nations./.
