The Don Ca Tai Tu (Southern amateur music) Festival is held on the occasion of the death anniversary ceremony of musician Nguyen Quang Dai, a music mandarin of the Hue Court who came to the South at the end of 19th century. He was the teacher of many talented generations of Southern musician. This is an opportunity for the Don Ca Tai Tu bands to exchange experiences in the process of art creation, contributing to preserving and developing the art of Don Ca Tai Tu.

The festival will take place in 2 nights (February 6 and 7) with the participation of 12 Don Ca Tai Tu bands inside and outside the province, with nearly 150 artists. The Don Ca Tai Tu festival on the ceremony of master musician Nguyen Quang Dai is an annual activity and has been maintained for 27 years. After a hiatus due to Covid-19 epidemic, this year, the festival was reorganized and received the attention of artist boards inside and outside the province.

On the opening ceremony of the festival, the Vietnam Folk Arts Association also announced the decision to posthumously award the title of Folk Artist and the Medal for the cause of Vietnamese folk art to 2 artists Tran Phong Sac and Le Van Tieng.
After the opening ceremony, the bands of Long An, District 8 - Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Ben Tre, Tay Ninh performed performances to attend the festival./.
