Opening of the 2021 National Cai Luong Festival
On the evening of November 5, the 2021 National Cai Luong Festival officially opened. Attending the ceremony were the Standing Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee - Mai Van Chinh; Former Deputy Minister of National Defense - Tran Don; Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Festival Steering Committee - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Quang Dong; Deputy Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs - Le Tan Dung; Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Theater Artists - People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui; Acting Director of the Department of Performing Arts - Meritorious Artist Tran Ly Ly; Deputy Director of the Department of Performing Arts, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Festival - Tran Huong Duong; Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa.

The 2021 National Cai Luong Festival, chaired by Department of Performing Arts, in collaboration with Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will take place from November 5 to 20 at the Long An Cai Luong Art Troupe. There are 22 public and non-public art units with 27 plays with different themes participating in the festival.

The National Cai Luong Festival is a regular activity taking place every 3 years to honor, introduce, promote, preserve and develop the value of the nation's traditional Cai Luong art. It is also an opportunity for art units and artists of many generations to meet, exchange and learn professions to jointly maintain and develop cai luong.

Speaking at the opening of 2021 National Cai Luong Festival, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Quang Dong affirmed that the festival is an event of great significance in the cultural and spiritual life of the people, preserving and honoring the quintessence of cai luong theater art and promoting the integration of traditional art forms.
The Organizing Committee gave flowers to the Festival Arts Council
At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee announced the Festival Arts Council consisting of 7 members, chaired by the Playwright, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Dramatic Artists - Nguyen Sy Chuc. After the ceremony, the Long An Cai Luong Art Troupe opened the festival with the play Cai Luong Beside the Long Khot River.

Art units will respectively perform twice a day at 9:30 a.m and 7:30 p.m daily from November 6-18. The closing ceremony of the festival will take place on 8 p.m November 20.
