PM, Head of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control - Pham Minh Chinh chairs an online meeting with 20 provinces and centrally-run cities

According to the Minister of Health - Nguyen Thanh Long, the number of new cases in the community is currently on an increasing trend because localities are testing widely, in which, Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Duong have the highest Covid-19 cases. Long An is one of 10 localities that have recorded the decreasing cases recently.

Reported at the meeting, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Nguyen Van Duoc informed that the number of Covid-19 cases in Long An was decreasing in the last 2 weeks. Through the period enhancing implementation of Directive 16/CT-TTg, people's consciousness has changed markedly, they strictly complied with social distancing regulations, contributed to improving the effectiveness of epidemic prevention. In Long An, the index for assessing the compliance with Directive 16/CT-TTg of the PM on social distancing through mobile subscribers' movement has improved much compared to the past.

Long An actively controls the "red zone" to protect the "green zone". Up to now, 6 "green zone" districts have not recorded new cases in the community for many days. The province invests in a central oxygen system for Covid-19 treatment facilities on both the level 2 and level 3 to reduce the mortality rate. Long An is also considering continuing to implement appropriate social distancing in the "red zone, orange zone, yellow zone" and "green zone" to ensure the maintenance of epidemic prevention and control, gradually repel the epidemic in the province.

PM - Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the efforts and initiative of localities in epidemic prevention and control. Currently, the epidemic situation is still complicated and difficult to predict, especially in Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Long An and Tien Giang. He suggested that localities should not be subjective and negligent, must firstly put the people’s health and life to make greater efforts and determination in epidemic prevention and control. When increasing social distance, it is necessary to control the epidemic situation, strictly and strictly social distancing to prevent the infectious source in the community.

The PM also directed the Ministry of Information and Communications to soon deploy the connection of the online conference system to all communes, wards and towns across the country to have a smooth direction in direction and administration. Localities need to ensure people's safety, social order and safety, meet the needs of food and foodstuffs, and do not let anyone lack food or clothes during the epidemic.

Communes, wards and townlets must promote their role in epidemic prevention and control and take care of people's lives, and must take measures to help people access healthcare as quickly and as soon as possible right from the grassroots.
