Many cooperative models operate effectively according to production methods associated with the value chain, contributing to actively supporting members in product consumption and promoting local reproduction such as My Thanh Agricultural Cooperative ( Thu Thua district), Muoi Hai Safe Vegetable Cooperative (Can Duoc district), Go Gon Agricultural Cooperative (Tan Hung district), Phuoc Hiep Safe Vegetable Cooperative (Can Giuoc district), etc.
According to Provincial Rural Coordination Office, in recent times, cooperatives in general and agricultural cooperatives in particular have not only played an important role in restructuring production, strengthening linkages in production and consumption of agricultural products, creating jobs and increasing income for farmers, but also contributing investment resources to build infrastructure, fundamentally changing the appearance of rural areas. To enhance the role of cooperatives in building new rural areas, in recent times, localities in the province have promoted propaganda and dissemination of the laws on cooperatives, programs to support agricultural development, and building new rural areas for members of cooperatives.
Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development - Nguyen Thanh Truyen informed: The Provincial Agriculture Sector is especially interested in reorganizing the activities of cooperatives according to the Cooperative Law; develop and replicate new cooperative models that operate effectively. In addition, the sector has carried out many activities to support cooperatives in accessing the market and connecting with businesses, orienting key products, building production and product consumption chains; supported loans for cooperatives to invest in expanding production, building product brands; etc. Thanks to that, the operational efficiency of cooperatives is increasingly improved with many types of services, creating conditions for members and farming households to restructure crops and livestock, improve productivity and product quality.
In the coming time, the province's agriculture sector will continue to coordinate in building and replicating traditional economic models associated with the value chain, creating motivation for the process of building new rural areas associated with good implementation of the Provincial Agriculture Sector Restructuring Project.; focus on investing in high-tech production areas, developing organic agriculture and green agriculture, thereby promoting the role of cooperative economy in building new rural areas in the province./.
