Director of the Department of Industry and Trade - Huynh Van Quang Hung said that in recent times, the Department of Industry and Trade has strengthened its activities of linking and connecting trade with provinces and cities to cooperate in production, business, distribution, and participation in market stabilization.

In particular, the cooperation program for the development of the Industry and Trade sector between Long An and many other provinces and cities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Tien Giang, Tay Ninh, etc has achieved certain results. Long An and other provinces and cities regularly exchange and learn from each other's experiences in state management in the field of industry and trade, connecting to help enterprises understand the needs to sign contracts, cooperate in production, business, distribution of goods, and participate in market stabilization.

Accordingly, in 2024, the fields of trade promotion, goods consumption and market stabilization were implemented quite well. The Department of Industry and Trade supported more than 650 enterprises to participate in trade promotion events, connecting trade with domestic and foreign enterprises and trade promotion organizations.

The total budget for trade promotion is about 2.5 billion VND. Of which, the foreign trade development program accounts for 60% of the budget, domestic market development accounts for 30% and other trade promotion programs account for 10% of the budget.

Director of the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion - Pham Van Phong informed that in 2024, the center supported many enterprises to participate in fairs and exhibitions such as the Fair of regional specialties and typical products of provinces and cities in the Southeast region - Tay Ninh in 2024; Mekong Delta - Tien Giang Industry and Trade Fair; Connecting international supply chains in 2024; etc.

All fairs aim to strengthen links in trade promotion activities between provinces and cities in the country. At the same time, connecting trade effectively, signing contracts and memorandums of understanding on cooperation in production and consumption of products with distribution units. In addition, at trade promotion events, businesses are also provided with many solutions to improve sales skills, participate in online sales activities, and develop businesses in digital transformation.

Supporting businesses in consuming goods

Tan An Agricultural Cooperative (Can Duoc district) specializes in raising swiftlets and producing bird nest products. Currently, the Cooperative has 4 swiftlet houses, harvesting an average of about 10kg of bird nest per month. The cooperative has 3 bird's nest products including natural bird's nest, bird's nest and stewed bird's nest (bird's nest and stewed bird's nest are recognized as 3-star OCOP). The Cooperative has invested in a production line for jars of bird's nest that meets food safety standards.

Director of Tan An Agricultural Cooperative - Lam Son Hai shared that in recent times, the cooperative has received supports from the Department of Industry and Trade and the Center for Industrial Promotion and Trade Promotion to participate in displaying and promoting products at many fairs and exhibitions in Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities.

Participating in fairs and exhibitions is an opportunity to introduce and promote products to distributors, agents as well as consumers. Thanks to that, the their products are consumed better than before.

Also through the fairs, the cooperative received many comments and learned more experience in packaging design and product models to better meet the needs of consumers.

Huong Viet Xua Company Limited (Huong Viet Xua Company), Long An Branch (Dong Hamlet, Long Huu Dong Commune, Can Duoc) is also one of the enterprises that benefit from the trade promotion programs organized by the Department of Industry and Trade. The company specializes in producing sauces such as fish sauce, convenient spices, sauces, etc.

Director of Huong Viet Xua Company - Nguyen Tan Tai is excited that in recent years, through trade promotion programs, the company has approached many domestic and foreign customers, helping annual output grows well. In particular, at this time, the output has increased by 50% compared to the beginning.
