According to Director of the Department of Planning and Investment - Truong Van Liep, in recent times, the province has proactively approached large organizations, investors and projects suitable to the province's investment attraction orientation. In addition, the province successfully organized conferences to meet diplomatic agencies, to connect businesses, business associations, and investors; investment promotion organizations abroad (Japan, Korea, USA, Cuba), etc to introduce the province's investment environment and approach new potential investors.

In 2023, the number of newly established enterprises, FDI projects, and registered capital of domestic and foreign investment projects increased over the same period. The province established 1,928 new enterprises with a total registered capital of 21,703 billion VND. To date, the whole province has nearly 17,000 businesses with a total registered capital of 373,087 billion VND; including nearly 13,000 operating enterprises. For FDI attraction, the province granted investment certificates to 116 projects (an increase of 57 projects), with newly granted investment capital of 594.96 million USD; adjusted capital for 79 projects (an increase of 12 projects), with investment capital increasing by 134.17 million USD. To date, the province has 1,245 FDI projects, with a total capital of more than 10.6 billion USD, of which 588 projects are in operation, total investment capital of more than 3.6 billion USD.

In 2024, the province will promote investment attraction to develop modern commercial infrastructure, port services, logistics, etc; call for investment in developing commercial infrastructure, delivery and logistics services according to planning orientations to create motivation for the development of civilized and modern types of commerce; consolidate and promote the role of traditional distribution channels to serve the daily activities of citizens; implement an action plan to improve competitiveness and develop Vietnamese logistics services until 2025; support the effective operation of Long An International Port.
