Provincial leader welcomes President of Japanese Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City

At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut congratulated Mr. Mizushima Kozo and the new members of Board of Directors of Japan Business Association in Ho Chi Minh City visiting and greeting the province.

Currently, Japan ranks 4th among about 40 countries and territories having investment projects in Long An with 130 projects; Total registered capital is over 480 million USD (ranks 5th in terms of capital). Japanese projects in Long An mainly in the fields of manufacturing artificial wood planks and wood products, mechanics, manufacturing - assembling electronic components, etc. Business community Japanese industry is one of the largest business communities in Long An province and has made positive contributions to the local socio-economic development.

Mr. Mizushima Kozo - Chairman of JCCH highly appreciated the economic development speed of Long An and suggested that the province continue to support and accompany local Japanese enterprises as well as encourage, creating conditions for local Japanese enterprises to continue to expand investment in Long An. He also thanked Long An province for supporting and accompanying Japanese businesses in the province, especially efforts to remove difficulties during the complicated development of Covid-19 epidemic recently.

Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut hopes that JCCH headed by President Mizushima Kozo would be a bridge and introduce Japanese businesses to learn, do business and invest in Long An, strengthen trade connections, economic and trade cooperation between Japanese enterprises and Long An enterprises, based on the areas where the parties have advantages.

2023 is the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations establishment between Vietnam and Japan. It is expected that Long An province will organize a number of welcome activities at the end of July 2023,  an investment promotion conference between Long An province and Japanese provinces and enterprises. At the same time, Long An will organize an exhibition to introduce to the people of Long An the products invested and manufactured by Japanese companies in the province./.
