Quang Nam take National Super Cup trophy
Defending V.League 1 champions, Quang Nam, defeated winners of the Vietnamese National Football Cup, Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) 1-0 to lift the trophy of the National Super Cup which took place at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi on February 24.

Midfielder Thiago Papel scored the only goal for Quang Nam to help the team triumph in the event, which marked the opening match for Vietnam’s new football season.
The top team walked away with a prize of VND300 million (US$13,000), while the runners-up received VND200 million (US$8,700).
The Super Cup match has been held between the V-League champions and the National Cup winners every year since 1999./.
