According to the investor of Huu Thanh Industrial Park (Duc Hoa district) - Dang Chinh Trung, the company surveyed and studied the environment and chose Long An to invest and operate. The province's environment makes enterprises feel secure to develop production and business. In addition, the Long An Provincial Masterplan for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, just approved by the Prime Minister, is the foundation for calling and attracting investors. Currently, the province is focusing on effectively promoting the socio-economic infrastructure system; investing and upgrading them synchronously and modernly, especially transport infrastructure capable of inter-regional and inter-provincial connectivity.

Thanks to the right guidelines and creative decisions, Long An is developing comprehensively. The province's economic scale in recent years ranks first in the Mekong Delta region; economic is restructuring towards industrialization and modernization; industry and construction of the province account for over 50% of the economic structure. Long An is a "bright spot" in terms of investment attraction, especially FDI investment.
However, investment attraction into the province still faces many difficulties such as the Provincial Masterplan for the period of 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, which has just been approved, has not been implemented in time, some plans have not been reviewed, timely adjustment according to the provincial planning; infrastructure is invested but is in the process of completion, not completely meeting the requirements for development; human resources are still limited, especially high-quality human resources, which have not yet met the demand for high-tech labor and management labor. Legal aid services, consultancy, land access support, etc are sometimes not timely, affecting the investment environment of the province.
In 2023, the province is determined and strives to achieve a higher rank in the PCI rankings. First of all, the province constantly improves the awareness from leaders and managers to civil servants and public employees who directly or indirectly participate in performing tasks related to enterprises, people.
At the same time, the province effectively implements practical solutions to solve the limitations in attracting and receiving investment; in which, focusing on improving indicators such as access to land, informal costs, administrative reform, especially speeding up the progress of solving difficulties and problems for businesses, attracting investment to the province, strives for Long An's position on the PCI ranking to always remain in the top of the country sustainably./.
Currently, the whole province has 16,200 registered enterprises with a total capital of over 364 trillion VND. In which, there are 2,176 domestic projects with a registered capital of over 253,000 billion VND. Regarding foreign investment (FDI), the province has 1,195 projects with a capital of 10,410 million USD, of which 588 projects have been put into operation with total investment capital of 3,624 million USD. |
