Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut talks with local leaders
The business community is growing stronger
Tay Ninh currently has more than 38,000 enterprises and 93,000 business households. In just the first nine months of 2025, the province welcomed an additional 2,600 new enterprises with registered capital totaling nearly VND 16 trillion. At present, the private sector contributes over 60% of the province’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), more than 24% of total state budget revenue, and provides jobs for over 77% of the local workforce.
According to Mr. Vu Manh Hung, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hung Nhon Group, 2022 marked the group’s strong presence in Tay Ninh with large-scale, high-tech agricultural projects. The group’s growth has been closely associated with local cooperation programs, contributing to social welfare—particularly in supporting the poor, victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, and creating employment opportunities for local workers. “In addition to expanding production, building our brand, and contributing to the province’s development, we always aspire to accompany local authorities in ensuring social security,” Mr. Hung emphasized. This spirit reflects the mission and commitment of the broader business community in Tay Ninh.
Following administrative consolidation, Tay Ninh has emerged with a new position as a dynamic growth hub. The province now ranks 10th nationwide in economic scale, with diverse terrain and soil favorable for multiple economic sectors. Its expanded development space not only offers unique geo-economic advantages—connecting the Southeast region with the Mekong Delta along the Trans-Asia economic corridor—but also establishes Tay Ninh as a regional linkage hub and an international trade gateway. This opens up opportunities for breakthroughs in cross-border economic cooperation, trade, and logistics. By 2025, the province’s economy is projected to reach nearly VND 350 trillion, up 61.6% compared to 2020, securing its place among the top 10 provincial economies nationwide.
In the first 9 months of 2025 alone, Tay Ninh’s GRDP is estimated to have grown by 9.63%, surpassing the Government’s target scenario. As of September 18, 2025, total state budget revenue reached more than VND 37.4 trillion, achieving 100.5% of the target assigned by the central government and 99.3% of the provincial People’s Council’s projection, representing a year-on-year increase of 33%.
These results highlight the vital contribution of the business community to Tay Ninh’s socio-economic stability and development, ensuring employment and income for workers, boosting budget revenue, and implementing social security policies across the province.
United for the goal of double-digit growth
Like many localities across the country, Tay Ninh aims to achieve double-digit economic growth in the next five years. This ambitious target will be a key focus for discussion and adoption at the province’s first Party Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure. To realize this goal, the province has outlined a series of measures, with the private sector identified as a crucial driving force.
Accordingly, Tay Ninh will continue to support and facilitate the development of all economic sectors, encouraging stronger investment and contributions to local socio-economic growth. The province will also implement Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW, dated May 4, 2025, of the Politburo on private sector development, making this sector a vital engine for growth, labor productivity, and competitiveness. In addition, Tay Ninh is determined to foster breakthroughs in developing and upgrading small- and medium-sized enterprises, cooperative economies, and cooperatives. Careful planning of land use and preferential policies will also be prioritized to attract pioneering enterprises capable of leading and spreading positive impacts across the economy. The role of business associations in supporting members, connecting with authorities, and expanding markets will likewise be strengthened.
Mr. Pham Trong Nghia, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Young Entrepreneurs Association and Director of Anh Duong Machinery & Equipment JSC, expressed optimism: “We believe that the new Tay Ninh will become a magnet for both domestic and foreign investment. The double-digit growth target is achievable, provided the province unlocks growth drivers and implements comprehensive support measures for enterprises. For the business community, the most practical support from the province is to ensure a fair and transparent business environment—whether for FDI firms, domestic companies, or small businesses.”
At the Business Dialogue Conference held on September 18, 2025, in Tan Ninh Ward, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut affirmed: “The success of enterprises is the key to growth, especially the private sector, in line with Resolution No. 68 of the Politburo. Tay Ninh will always stand by businesses—not only in attracting investment but also throughout project implementation. The province will continue to improve the investment environment, streamline administrative procedures, promptly address production and business challenges, and create the most favorable conditions for enterprises to thrive.”./.
