The Deputy PM said the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership is growing well in multiple spheres, in which economy, trade and investment are among important pillars.

Koslowski said he will make efforts to promote bilateral relations, including in renewable energy, noting Germany has a leading renewable energy sector and many of its businesses are interested in this field in Vietnam.

At the reception, IB Vogt Managing Director Anton Milner said his company is experienced in renewable energy projects and is considering two solar power plants in the Central Highlands province of Dak Lak.

He expressed his hope that the Vietnamese Government and relevant agencies will create optimal conditions for the firm to carry out its projects.

Dung said the Vietnamese Government always encourages the development and efficient use of renewable energy. The country is gradually improving the structure of power generation sources with priority given to renewable energy, helping protect the environment and boost sustainable socio-economic development.

He noted Vietnam has great demand for energy, especially renewable energy, to develop its economy. Its power needs will be about 90,000 MW by 2025 and 130,000 MW by 2030.

Germany is a country taking the lead in renewable energy, especially wind and solar power, with advanced technologies, Dung said, adding that German businesses in this field are among priorities from which Vietnam wishes to attract investment.

The Deputy PM also told IB Vogt to work closely with Vietnamese partners to implement its projects in line with the country’s renewable energy development plan./.
