On June 25, Department of Science and Technology of Long An province, Center for Application, Engineering, and Information of Science and Technology of Long An province organized a workshop connecting technology supply and demand with the theme "Technology and equipment for processing post-harvest agricultural products". Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of Department of Science and Technology of Long An province - Ho Thi Diep Thuy shared that Long An is a locality located in the southern key economic region, an area of construction, industrial development and vibrant urbanisation. In addition, promoting the development of agricultural, forestry and fishery processing industries to serve agricultural restructuring plays a very important role in attracting investment in the agricultural and rural sector. Therefore, the development of processing industry is considered a breakthrough in the Agriculture Sector Restructuring Project of Long An province as the most optimal path to increase the added value of products.
The Department of Science and Technology has assigned the task of the Center for Application, Engineering, and Information of Science and Technology to maintain and develop the Technology and Equipment Exchange of Long An province. Thereby, promoting technology application, transfer and innovation activities between organizations, businesses and individuals inside and outside the province.
The technology and equipment trading platform of Long An province has been formed online at http://techport.longan.vn and offline at 367 National Highway 1, Ward 4, Tan An City. The province's online technology and equipment exchange creates a favorable trading environment to find partners on the Internet, with the participation of technology supply and demand parties and intermediary service organizations.
