12,000 packages of smuggled cigarettes at Tan An market confiscated
At 15:15 PM on July 1, Market Management Team No.8 of Long An Market Management Department detected a large amount of foreign smuggled cigarettes at the stall No.89 of Tan An market, Nguyen Duy street, ward 1, Tan An city, Long An province.
Smuggled cigarettes are confiscated
Functional forces discovered a total of 11,940 smuggled cigarettes. The brand of these cigarettes are Jet (5,720 packs), Hero (3,010 packs), Canon (750 packs), Caraven (730 packs), 555 (430 packs), League (340 packs), Scott (220 packs), Richmond (210 packs), and Oris (90 packs).

The team temporarily seizes all of the above cigarette packages to investigate according to regulations.
From the beginning of 2019 up to now, the prevention and combat of smuggling as well as the possession of foreign smuggled cigarettes have been drastically focused. However, according to Long An Market Management Department, smugglers are sophisticated and reckless. Therefore, in the coming time, the Market Management Department will ask the teams to continue strengthening anti-smuggling; the smugglers and those possessing smuggled cigarettes will be identified and strictly handled./.
