Long An Market Management Department confiscated smuggled cigarettes

Accumulated in 6 months of 2019, the teams discovered and confiscated over 24,140 packages of smuggled cigarettes. Compared to the same period in 2018, confiscated cigarettes decreased by more than 62,980 packages.

In the first 6 months, cigarette smuggling on border areas was reduced. This is the positive result of the functional forces in strengthening anti-smuggling, trade fraud and fake goods under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.

Smugglers, especially smugglers of cigarettes, often use 4-seat, 7-seat, and truck-type cars to transport smuggled goods. They often smuggle at night and early morning, on holidays or when there are many vehicles on the road to avoid the detection of functional forces./.
