7 months of 2019: Long An's total retail sales of goods and service revenue reaches 52,429 billion VND

According to Long An Department of Industry and Trade, the total retail sales of goods and service revenue in July 2019 reached 7,392 billion VND, an increase of 0.1 percent compared to June 2019 and 15.4% over the same period. Accumulated in the first 7 months of 2019, it reached 52,429 billion VND, equivalent to 59.1 percent of the plan, an increase of 15.8 percent over the same period of 2018.

The competition in retail among distributors has met the shopping needs of people

Accordingly, the price of 5 out of 11 commodity groups increased compared to June including Food and catering services (up 0.13 percent); Clothes, hats and shoes (up 0.08 percent); Culture, entertainment and tourism (up 0.04 percent); Other goods and services (up 1.67 percent).

Price of 3 out of 11 commodity groups decreased including Beverage and tobacco (decreased by 0.23 percent); Housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials (decreased by 0.45 percent); Household appliances (decreased by 0.03 percent).

Price of 3 out of 11 commodity groups including Drugs and medical services, Education, Post and Telecommunication were stable.

According to the Department of Industry and Trade, in the first months of 2019, trade growth was quite good, commodity prices in the province were stable. At present, goods are plentiful and diversified, meeting the needs of the people.

In particular, the competition in retail among distributors such as Bach Hoa Xanh, Vinmart, SanHaFoodstore has met the shopping needs of the people because of reasonable prices. Trade promotion activities have been promoted. Enterprises and cooperatives have actively participated in many programs to connect supply and demand to introduce their products into supermarkets and wholesale markets./.
