Over the past time, Can Giuoc district of Long An province effectively implemented investment capital for basic capital construction projects in the district. Accordingly, many key works completed on schedule, contributing the importance to the local socio-economic development.

In 2019, the district was allocated more than VND 256 billion, implementing 109 basic construction projects, of which the capital invested by the province was VND 76.4 billion, the capital from the surplus budget of the district was VND 179.8 billion. The district has implemented 73 projects, accepted and put into use 12 projects; disbursement value reached more than VND 110 billion, reaching 44 percent of the plan.
In order to promote the efficiency of public investment capital, the district will strengthen the inspection, supervision and urging investors to implement the disbursement schedule in the coming time; At the same time, the quality of works must be ensured, loss and waste must be avoided.
