Cooperation opportunities between Long An and Thailand enterprises

Participating this event, Long An has 10 enterprises directly involved in producting goods such as fresh agricultural products, processed agricultural products, processed foods, beverages, handicrafts, mattresses,ertc.

According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade - Do Thang Hai, Thailand is Vietnam's largest trading partner in Asean, while Vietnam is Thailand's second largest trading partner in Asean. Trade cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand is on a positive development momentum. Two-way trade turnover between in 2022 reached 21.6 billion USD, an increase of 15.1%, the highest in recent years. This trade connection event is an important opportunity to promote good quality products of Long An enterprises in particular and Vietnamese enterprises in general to Thai consumers and foreign tourists, promoting two-way trade relation to reach the target of 25 billion USD by 2025.

In 2022, the total import-export turnover between Long An and Thailand reached nearly 81 million USD, of which nearly 50 million USD was from export. In the first eight months of 2023, the total import-export turnover between Long An and Thailand reached over 144 million USD, over 66 million USD of which was from export.

It is expected that this event will create a new impetus for the development of close and effective economic and trade cooperation in the coming time between Long An and Thailand enterprises./.
