Directive No. 16/CT-TTg strictly implemented – Basic measures to prevent the infectious chain

Deputy PM - Vu Duc Dam held an online meeting with 19 southern provinces and city on the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control 

At the conference, representatives of localities reported the situation of Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control in the provinces, especially the implementation of Directive 16/CT-TTg; the organization of welcoming people living, studying and working in Ho Chi Minh City to their localities; implementation of vaccination against Covid-19.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa, on average, Long An records 300-320 cases of Covid-19 every day, the province is trying to screen in the community for F0 cases. The province is also divided into 2 regions: "Red zone" includes 5 localities and "green zone" includes 10 localities. Long An proposes to extend the distance according to Directive 16/CT-TTg for another 2 weeks to clean the "green area", as a rear for epidemic prevention and screening in the "red zone".

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City, Tien Giang and Dong Thap cooperate very well with Long An in welcoming people back to the localities. Long An also hopes that the provinces will have close coordination, when welcoming people to the locality, Long An will create the best conditions to bring people via the province.

Deputy PM - Vu Duc Dam requested to ensure social distancing according to regulations. If Directive 16/CT-TTg is strictly implemented, the chain of Covid-19 infection will be stopped - this is the most fundamental solution in the current epidemic prevention and control.

He also asked localities to carefully prepare plans; coordinate with provinces and city with a large number of rural workers in the provinces in welcoming people back to their localities, on the principle of not allowing them to voluntarily return to their hometowns. At the same time, take advantage of the golden time of separating to clean the area and return the localities to a new normal state soon./.
