Essential goods ensured adequate supply

According to Deputy Director of Long An Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) - Chau Thi Le, despite the complicated situation of the Covid-19 epidemic, people are assured that they should not hoard food and other necessities because of the abundant supply, it ensures to fully serve the needs of consumers in the province.

Currently, the Covid-19 epidemic in the province is still complicated, with many cases in the community, and affects people's lives. Facing the above fact, the DoIT has actively coordinated with localities to review and grasp the market and consumer demand in the province to ensure the supply of essential goods for the people.

In addition, the unit also worked, asking manufacturers and suppliers of goods to prepare and have a scenario for each option according to each level of disease occurring with the goal of providing adequate supplies to serve the needs of the people in all cases.

On the other hand, the DoIT coordinated with the units to organize the deployment, inspect and take measures to deal with cases of hoarding goods and increasing selling prices in the province. Localities need to proactively provide timely information so that the department can coordinate and supplement supply when there are fluctuations in the market such as price increases, lack of goods to serve.

The Department recommends that people should not hoard food and other necessities because the source of essential goods in the province is presently abundant, plentiful and good quality, Deputy Director of DoIT - Chau Thi Le informed./.
