Mr. Nguyen Van Xe (Tuyen Thanh commune, Tay Ninh province) said: "Currently, the water has reached the rice field of my family, I am taking advantage of the time to weed, plow the land, and open the embankment to let water into the field. Hopefully, this year the water level will be high, enriching the fields so that the next winter-spring crop will be successful."

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Nam (Tuyen Binh commune, Tay Ninh province), plowing the land to receive water from the flood season not only kills weeds, rice husks, decomposes straw but also makes the land more fertile and rich. Currently, his family's 2 hectares of land have been plowed, cleaned and prepared to release water into the field to receive alluvium.

In recent days, the water level in rivers, canals and streams in the Dong Thap Muoi region of the province has increased rapidly. To fully exploit the benefits of the flood season, the provincial Department of Agriculture and Environment recommends that farmers plow the land after harvesting the 2025 Summer-Autumn rice crop and the 2025 Autumn-Winter rice crop. For areas in the dike system, floodwater should be allowed to soak to cut off the bridge of spreading pests and diseases. This is a simple and easy-to-implement measure but very effective./.
