At the business establishments, the delegation focused on checking dossiers and related documents such as certificates of eligibility for food safety, periodic health checks, meal supply contracts, insurance contracts for product liability, input food documents, etc.
In addition, the team also checked product labels, origin, expiry date, food preservation, raw materials, food sample storage, kitchen floor, wastewater treatment system, uniform regulations, clothing and labor protection.
During the inspection process, the delegations integrated and propagated the regulations and contents of the Law on Food Safety, legal documents of the Government and the Ministry of Health on food hygiene and safety to people and businesses to raise awareness in the production, processing and use of safe food.
This activity aimed at tightening the state management of food safety; assessing the current status of the observance of the law provisions on food safety at the food production and/or business establishments and street food establishments.
Thereby, the province timely detects, prevents and promptly handles food safety violations, minimizes food poisoning, protects the interests and health of consumers.
The total number of food processing and trading establishments managed in the whole province is over 7,400 establishments. In the first 9 months of 2020, the provincial specialized inspection delegation for food safety inspected 223 establishments, of which 181 were successful; 7 establishments violating food safety and being administratively sanctioned with the amount of more than 23.4 million VND, at present, 35 establishments are still waiting for handling.
Along with that, the district level established 41 inspections; at commune level established 360 inspection delegations to organize inspection 5,552 out of 6,627 (management establishments), including 920 violating establishments (of which, 877 establishments were reminded, 43 establishments were handled administrative violations, amount 64.9 million VND)./.
