In innovative homeland

During the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic, Long An was heavily affected because it was located in the "epidemic center". However, with the mindset of "dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility", the province has made breakthrough decisions. Long An is one of the first localities in the country to open up the economy, restore production and business activities, creating an important stepping stone for the province to complete the goals of the whole term.

Open the way for development

The completion of Provincial Road 830 has created a driving force for the economic development of the province

At Provincial Road 830 - a key project from the previous term connecting 4 urban-industrial development districts to Long An International Port, in addition to the section invested in BOT form from Duc Hoa district to An Than bridge (Ben Luc district), up to now, phase 2 has basically been completed, only a few final stages remain in the bidding package through Can Duoc district. In the days leading up to Lunar New Year, the traffic density on this route is busier.

Since the date of the project, the house of Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Loan (Long Son commune, Can Duoc district) has been close to the road. During the construction period, her family and many other households faced difficulties and now benefit from the project. "The completion of this route has made it easier for people to travel whether they want to go to the district center or the provincial center," said Loan. On National Highway 1 from Ben Luc District to Long An International Port, now, vehicles can run for only about 40 minutes."

Road opening is synonymous with economic development. Industrial projects in key economic districts have created jobs for thousands of local workers as well as other provinces and cities. At the year-end meeting, businessman Vo Quoc Thang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dong Tam Group shared, more than 10 years ago, the lower Can Giuoc area was still untouched, agriculture was the main source of income for local people. direction. However, with policies to attract investment and build a synchronous transport infrastructure system, up to now, many businesses have considered Long An as a destination.

Over the years, Dong Tam Group has focused its resources on investing in Long An International Port, Dong Nam A Long An Industrial Park, Dong Nam A Long An Industrial Service Park, and Dong Nam A Long An Urban Area with a total area of 1,935 hectares. In particular, Long An International Port is expected to promote the development of industrial zones and clusters in the key economic region and become the logistics center of the province as well as the Mekong Delta region.

2022 is the year that has witnessed a spectacular breakthrough in the province's socio-economic development. Specifically, the economic growth rate reached 8.46%; production and business activities gradually regained growth momentum. Although this growth has not been as expected, it is a good growth after a period of heavy impact from the Covid-19 epidemic. However, with the mindset of "dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility", the province has made important and breakthrough decisions. All businesses were allowed to resume operations when they met the requirements of epidemic prevention and control and coordinate with a number of provinces and cities in ensuring conditions for workers to travel between provinces and cities to work. In less than a month, 80% of enterprises in the province resumed operation; By the end of 2021, 100% of enterprises restored production and business activities.
