Taking technology as the foundation, NECS cold storage focuses on investing in automatic racking systems for warehouses in the next stage with 5 robots per warehouse; fast and stable import and export productivity of 40 pallets/robot/hour; outstanding height of up to 40m and 20 shelves, maximizing warehouse capacity. In addition, forklifts, compressors, automatic conveyors and refrigeration units are all imported from European countries.

The NECS cold storage system has leading modern scale and technology in Southeast Asia on an area of nearly 4.3 hectares, with a total capacity of up to 145,000 pallets. Phase 1 of the warehouse is in operation with an impressive capacity of more than 30,000 pallets and a temperature range of -18 degrees Celsius to -20 degrees Celsius, specializing in serving frozen items such as fish, seafood, meat, fruit and frozen foods.

Continuing the outstanding capacity in phase 1, NECS is building phases 2 and 3 with nearly 115,000 pallets and 18,000m² of warehouse floor, making them one of the leading cold storage capacity in Vietnam and Southeast Asia with a total of 145,000 pallets.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development - Phung Duc Tien said that the Mekong Delta is an area that exports agricultural, aquatic products, with rice, fruit, and seafood production accounting for 60% - 70% of the country's output. Therefore, in addition to crop spreading, large-scale cold storage is needed. The construction of NECS cold storage has great significance in agricultural development, especially shifting from agricultural production thinking to agricultural economic thinking.
