On April 23, the delegation of Lao Cai Department of Industry and Trade and Honghe County Department of Commerce, Yunnan province (China) came to survey and connect trade with agricultural products manufacturing, processing and exporting enterprises in Long An.

According to Honghe County Department of Commerce, Yunnan province (China), in 2022, trade in agricultural products between Honghe - Vietnam reached 440 million USD; in which, fruit and vegetable trade reached 120 million USD, seafood reached 810,000 USD. In particular, the agricultural products that Vietnam exports to Hong Ha province through the Hekou - Lao Cai border gate are mainly dragon fruits, bananas, dried cassava, dried green beans and aquatic products.
Currently, Yunnan province is focusing on optimizing the business environment, promoting the construction of the Hekou digital border gate, continuing to optimize the import and export clearance process, facilitating quick clearance for agricultural products and by-products at Hekou - Lao Cai border gate. Therefore, it is very necessary to survey and connect trade between businesses of Honghe, Yunnan province and other provinces and cities with large agricultural sources in Vietnam.

Accordingly, the delegation came to survey the preliminary processing and packaging of agricultural products at a number of enterprises belonging to Long An Dragon Fruit Association (Chau Thanh district), the milling and packing of rice of Duong Vu Co., Ltd (Thu Thua district), visited the lemon growing area and learned about lemon products processed by Chanh Viet Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company (Ben Luc district).
