Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut emphasized that despite many difficulties, the entrepreneur staff of Long An province is constantly developing and growing over the past time, contributing to making enterprises more efficient in production and trade, always being proactive and making a breakthrough in many fields, integrating with the general development trend of society.

Up to now, Long An has nearly 13,500 enterprises with about 370,000 employees in many fields, annually paying thousands of billions of VND to the state budget. Only in 2020, the business community contributed 12,000 billion VND to the provincial budget (accounting for 69 percent of the total state budget revenue) and 9,500 billion VND in the first nine months of 2021 (accounting for 70 percent of the total state budget revenue).

At the same time, the enterprises create jobs for thousands of workers with stable income, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development. In addition, with their kindness, the Long An entrepreneur staff has made many contributions to social security work, helping many poor households and disadvantaged people to improve their lives, etc.

Especially, with the solidarity, efforts and high determination of the whole political system and business community, the people of the province, the socio-economic situation of the province in the past 9 months has had positive highlights, the province achieved 16 out of 21 socio-economic targets in 2021. In the first nine months of 2021, the budget revenue reached 90 percent, attracting domestic investment and the amount of FDI project investment increased over the same period. The province established 986 new businesses, granted investment certificates to 105 domestic projects with a registered capital of 7,960 billion VND, 41 FDI projects, with a total registered capital of 3.2 billion USD.

The important achievements that the province has achieved has a great contribution of the business community, which affirms the pioneering position and role of businesses and entrepreneurs in the province's socio-economic development. 

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut respectfully acknowledges, appreciates and praises the efforts, achievements and contributions of the business community and entrepreneurs in Long An province over the past time. 

In the process of development, the Party Committee and government of Long An province thoroughly understood and acted right from the beginning of the term with the view of "considering enterprises as the resource, the driving force of development, considering the people and business as the objects of service”. Therefore, businesses should rest assured when investing, producing and doing trade in Long An, the province commit to "always accompany businesses, consider the difficulties of enterprises as difficulties of the province, the success of enterprises as the success of the province”; “The Long An government and the business community have been and will always be closely associated with each other”.

On this occasion, provincial leaders gave flowers and souvenirs in gratitude to former State President - Truong Tan Sang; Former Standing Deputy PM - Truong Hoa Binh has paid much attention to, directed, oriented and created favorable conditions for the province in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. At the same time, they connect businesses and entrepreneurs with the same sentiment towards the land of "Long An, brave and resilient", mobilizing support from entrepreneurs and businesses in medical equipment and medical products, social welfare packages, so on greatly contributed to Long An's success in epidemic control.

In addition, the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 127 collectives and individuals including the Provincial Business Association, the Young Entrepreneurs Association, the Korean Business Sub-Association in Long An and many collectives and individuals, businesses and entrepreneurs in and outside the province have many contributions to the socio-economic development and social security of the province./.
