From 2016 - 2019, Ho Chi Minh City Open University had more than 320 students with household registration in Long An province passed the entrance exam, with such majors as Accounting, English Language and Business Administration.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Pham Tan Hoa said that the cooperation between Long An and Ho Chi Minh City Open University positively contributes to the training of human resources for the province.
At the same time, he suggested the school and locality continue to organize many scientific research projects; Departments and branches continue to review learning needs at agencies and units, then appropriate training plans will be applied; postgraduate training will be increased with professions such as journalism, broadcasting, architecture, construction, etc. /.
