Long An attracts 25 investment projects in first 2 months of 2018

In the first two months of the year, Long An province attracted 25 new domestic and foreign invested projects, totalling investment capital up to VND 1,110billion and US$ 52million.

Statistics from the provincial department of planning & investment revealed, in the first two months of 2018, 15 new domestic projects were received licenses with total investment capital of up to VND 1,110billion, decreasing 2 projects compared to last year.

To date, Long An has attracted 1,486 projects from domestic businesses worth VND 168,453billion.

In the period, the province granted certificates to 10 foreign direct investment projects, bringing total investment capital up to US$ 52million, decreasing 6 projects year-on-year however increasing registered capital up to US$ 29million.

Total FDI projects in the province stood at 899 with total investment capital of up to US$ 5,698million; of these, 545 projects had been put into operation, accounting for 60.6 percent over total registered projects; total investment capital of US$ 3,572million, 62.7 percent over total registered capital.

Overall, around 9,772 enterprises have been operating in the province with total registered capital of up to VND 236,526billion. Of these, 1,335 businesses poured capital into industrial park with total capital of VND 96,487billion; 251 enterprises in industrial cluster with total capital of VND 8,533billion and 8,186 ones operating outside industrial park and cluster with total capital of up to VND 131,506billion.

The province is continuing implementing the government’s resolution in improving business environment, enhancing the national competitive capacity and applying support policies to develop and attract the investment projects.

Long An focuses on carrying out solutions to enhance the provincial competitiveness index (CPI) 2018 and improve the Public Administration Reform Index 2018 (PAR Index 2018). Besides, it will eye on problems about site clearance and check licensed projects, outdated ones…/.
