Chairman of Long An People's Committee - Tran Van Can chairs an online dialogue with enterprises
Vice-Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut, representatives of some departments and branches of the province attended at the Long An end-point bridge.
According to the report of the Department of Planning and Investment, the dialogue received many opinions of businesses in the six localities reflecting such following issues as loan support without interest to maintain operating, paying workers’ salary; extending interest payments, original banking debt and are not converted to bad debts; extend the time for paying new taxes and fees; tax reduction and tax exemption; extend the time of retirement - death fund for all affected businesses within 12 months from April 2020; etc.
Head of the Provincial Tax Department - Nguyen Van Thuy provided general information on tax support policies and principles; quickly reviewed results on the number of taxpayers to apply the State's tax support policy. Accordingly, the policies and principles of tax support follow Decree No. 41 dated April 08, 2020. In Long An, the review of the tax sector, about 8,200 enterprises (equivalent to 53 percent) and 14,400 business households (equivalent to 52percent) are extended tax payment, the total amount of about 1,700 billion VND.
With the opinion of the business proposing to extend the time to pay the retirement - death fund for all affected businesses within 12 months. This issue, the provincial Social Insurance representative shared that the employer was affected by the Covid-19 disease, resulting in a 50 percent reduction in employees participating in Social Insurance or more compared to the time the authorities to announce epidemics (including laborers who stop working, postpone the labor contracts, agree to stop working without payment), laborers and employers may suspend the payment to the death fund up to 12 months. Up to this point, the Government has not had any other direction on this policy.

In addition, many other opinions of enterprises have been clarified and guided by the leaders of the concerned departments and branches in the spirit of sharing difficulties, aiming to the common goal of prioritizing epidemic prevention and control as well as maintaining production and business, maintaining order, safety and social security.

In recent years, the disease has disrupted most of the production and supply chains of goods in all areas of life and socio-economy, but many businesses have tried to overcome and reduce losses to a minimum.
In the coming time, businesses surely still face difficulties in input raw materials and machines for production. Pursuant to the Prime Minister's Directive No. 11/CT-TTg of March 4, 2020, on urgent tasks and solutions to remove difficulties for production and business, ensuring social security for coping with Covid-19 epidemic, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 79/KH-UBND dated April 6, 2020, on implementing solutions to help businesses stabilize their business and develop production in the province.
In disease prevention and business support, Long An commits and directs relevant functional agencies to conduct drastically, promptly and suitably to the right people, ensuring publicity, transparency and absolutely no harassment and negativity in the mechanism to support businesses and people. The recommendations of the enterprise and the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Planning and Investment to synthesize and preside over and coordinate the concerned departments and branches to solve this quickly. Particularly for petitions beyond the authority, the province will report to the Prime Minister, relevant ministries and branches in the spirit of supporting enterprises.
The Chairman of the provincial People's Committee also required businesses in the process of organizing production and business to strictly comply with regulations on prevention and control of epidemics. If the provincial authorities detect that enterprises are not proactive or neglect, the anti-epidemic subjective will have strict sanctions./.
