Long An Party Committee Secretary - Pham Van Ranh visits Tan Duc Industrial park

On June 17, Long An Provincial Party Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Pham Van Ranh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Van Ut, representatives of provincial departments, branches and leaders of Duc Hoa district visited to grasp the investment and operation situation of Tan Duc Industrial park.

Tan Duc Residential Area - Urban - Industrial Zone is invested by Tan Tao Group with a total area of over 1,140 hectares. In particular, the total area of Tan Duc Industrial Park is 545 hectares. Until June 2020, it has attracted 186 businesses, including 124 foreign-invested enterprises with a total registered capital of over 400 million USD and 62 domestic enterprises with a total registered investment capital of about 7,400 billion VND. The 74-hectare residential area is divided into 2,218 resettlement plots, up to now, nearly 600 households have built houses and stabilized their lives. The urban area has been completed; the education system and general hospital, etc. have been put into operation.

According to the investor's representative, at present, Tan Duc Industrial park has only about 90 hectares. This land fund is only enough to attract investors in the next 2-3 years, so the company has applied for a project to invest in Saigon - Mekong Industrial park with an area of 200 hectares in Thanh Loi commune, Ben Luc district to have a land fund for industrial park development. This project has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee. The investor proposed the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee and Economic Zone Management Board to submit to the Government for approval of the investment project of Saigon - Mekong Industrial park to implement the project as soon as possible.

At the meeting, leaders of departments, agencies and districts of Duc Hoa also discussed some problems in residential areas, resettlement areas, urban areas that are related to land clearance and infrastructure, planning adjustment, etc.

Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Pham Van Ranh suggested that in the coming time, Tan Tao Group should promote the investment progress of industrial park infrastructure to continue attracting secondary investors; focus on investing in essential infrastructure in transportation, electricity, water, sewage treatment system in the resettlement area as well as continue to develop more houses for workers.

Regarding the investment project of Saigon - Mekong Industrial park, he assigned the provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and Ben Luc district to remove difficulties and support legal procedures for project implementation.
