Currently, Long An is urgently organizing the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination for people from 3 to 17 years old in the province according to Plan No. 3417/KH-UBND dated October 20, 2021 and Decision No. 11232/QD-UBND dated November 11, 2021. In which, the units focus their resources on organizing pre-vaccination for the age group from 15 to 17 years old and gradually lower the age according to the schedule of vaccine allocation (priority is given to students in grades 12, 11 and 10). In which, it is planned to vaccinate 16 - 17 years old children in 15 districts, town and city and more for 15 year old children in 3 districts of Ben Luc, Can Giuoc and Duc Hoa.

The units will organize injections according to the successive method at each educational institution, each injection site in each locality, ensuring that one injection site and one school must complete the injection within the day, not extending to the next day and only organize vaccination for children who have written consent from their parents to participate in vaccination.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Nguyen Minh Lam said that cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection have appeared in many agencies and businesses recently, localities and units must not be subjective and neglectful with the epidemic situation.

Localities need to review the equipment at the field hospital to find a solution to suit the plan and route. Districts should note that they need to be ready for F0 isolation scenarios and plans, and proactively arrange isolation locations.

For businesses, the Command Department also directed the Department of Industry and Trade, the Economic Zones Authority and the Department of Planning and Investment to work with businesses to proactively isolate places when there are infectious cases. When there is a case, the enterprises must promptly notify the authorities for timely support and handling.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – Pham Tan Hoa said that a part of the people are presently still subjective about the epidemic, especially at events, restaurants, and public places where there are still crowds of people, not keeping the distance and comply with 5K regulations, etc. He asked media agencies to strengthen propaganda on epidemic prevention, raise people's awareness in fighting epidemics; localities focus on inspecting and handling cases of violations of epidemic prevention regulations.

With the work of vaccinating children, he suggested that localities urgently make a commitment to parents to agree to receive the vaccine on November 18. Also today, vaccines must be promptly distributed to localities to be ready for injection as soon as possible.

In addition, he asked the Department of Education and Training to closely coordinate with the Department of Health and localities to take measures to ensure the safety of students when returning to in-person learning in the near future./.
