Deputy Governor of California - Ms. Eleni Kounalakis speaks at the conference, highlighting the importance of seaports to the economy of California, which accounts for more than 40% of goods imported and exported to the United States.

The signing ceremony is a turning point in formalizing the relationship of the two ports, opening up opportunities for cooperation and sharing experiences in port management and operation and market connection to increase goods transit, towards the goal of sustainable development. Currently th port is continuing to upgrade and perfect transportation capacity to receive export and import containers through the trans-Pacific trade route, maintaining its position as one of the largest seaports in the world.
