Nearly 60 billion VND projected for Tay Ninh Environmental Protection Fund

On September 25, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province issued a decision to establish the Tay Ninh Provincial Environmental Protection Fund, under the Provincial People's Committee, on the basis of merging the Environmental Protection Fund management function of the Long An Provincial Development Investment Fund and the Tay Ninh Provincial Environmental Protection Fund (2 old provinces).

The Fund is headquartered at 51 Tra Quy Binh, Long An Ward, Tay Ninh Province. This is a state financial institution under the Provincial People's Committee, under the comprehensive management of the Provincial People's Committee and the State financial management of the Department of Finance. The Fund has legal status, independent accounting, and is allowed to open accounts at the State Treasury and credit institutions according to regulations.

The international transaction name is Tay Ninh Environment Protection Fund (abbreviated as TNEPF).

The Fund's charter capital is nearly 60 billion VND. The Fund performs the function of receiving capital from the budget, funding sources, aid, and capital mobilized from domestic and foreign organizations and individuals to finance, provide preferential loans, and support interest rates for projects to prevent, combat, and overcome pollution, degradation, and environmental incidents, contributing to improving environmental quality and sustainable development.

The Fund's organizational structure includes: Board of Management, Board of Supervisors and Board of Directors (using the operational management apparatus of Tay Ninh Provincial Development Investment Fund).

The Fund is responsible for receiving, managing, and using capital for the right purposes, providing preferential loans, supporting interest rates, and financing environmental protection projects. At the same time, it has the right to mobilize capital, appraise projects, collect debts, and handle collateral according to regulations.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Fund Director to coordinate with relevant departments and branches to develop the Charter of organization and operation, and submit it to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for approval to officially put the Fund into operation./.
