Many outstanding results
Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Development, Tay Ninh province mobilized many resources, opened up and promoted development in localities. Rural areas that were previously difficult in all aspects have now undergone a facelift, becoming bright spots in socio-economic development.
In a spacious house, Mr. Le Hong Thanh (Bau Sen hamlet, Khanh Hung commune) happily talked about the changes in his family, neighborhood, and hometown. According to Mr. Thanh, local people mainly produce agriculture, in which rice is still the main crop. With more knowledge, guidance, support for investment capital, farmers boldly apply science and technology to production, bringing economic efficiency. “Since the implementation of the New Rural Development Program, people have actively contributed their efforts and money. Up to now, the local appearance has changed a lot, many roads have been upgraded, paved with asphalt and concrete, creating convenience in traffic,” said Mr. Thanh.
Mr. Nguyen Van Dung (Hoi Tan hamlet, Tan Hoi commune) said: “In recent years, many infrastructure works on traffic, irrigation, schools, and medical stations have been invested in, improving people's lives. For example, investing in solidifying intra-field traffic routes has made agricultural cultivation, transportation of materials and agricultural products in the area much more convenient. In addition, rural traffic routes connecting areas in the commune have well met the travel needs of local people.”

Despite many difficulties, with the determination of the entire political system, the strong direction of Party committees, authorities at all levels and the consensus of the people, in the period of 2021-2025, the whole province mobilized more than 280,000 billion VND for new rural construction (old Tay Ninh province mobilized nearly 6,000 billion VND, old Long An province mobilized more than 275,000 billion VND).

The allocated capital sources focus on priority areas such as infrastructure development, production support, social security, education, health care, and target programs, etc.
Previously, the old Long An province had 7/15 district-level units meeting the standards/completing the task of building a new-style rural area (Chau Thanh, Tan Tru, Can Giuoc, Tan Thanh, Vinh Hung, Kien Tuong town, Tan An city); 2 districts meeting advanced new-style rural standards (Chau Thanh and Tan Tru districts). People convert farming models to increase income
In the context of the whole country implementing administrative unit rearrangement, a historic period when Long An province merged with Tay Ninh province, operating a 2-level local government model, although there are no more district-level administrative units, the New Rural Development Program continues to be strongly implemented with the consistent spirit, aiming at the goal of sustainable, comprehensive and humane development.
According to the province's orientation, the newly formed communes after the administrative unit rearrangement need to maintain and improve the quality of the achieved standards while effectively implementing the tasks in the period of 2026-2030. The focus is on developing the new-style rural development in a modern direction associated with industrialization, urbanization, circular economy, green growth, emission reduction, in parallel with promoting the application of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation to improve the effectiveness of management and implementation.
Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment Truong Tan Dat said: “To implement the National Target Program on New-style Rural Development in the period of 2026-2030, the province continues to promote propaganda so that people know and promote their role, spreading positive and clear changes in each household, each hamlet and village; perfect mechanisms and policies to support New Rural Development; improve the investment efficiency of resources in New Rural Development; focus on developing production and services associated with restructuring the agricultural sector, contributing to increasing people's income and adapting to climate change; mobilize maximum resources to organize and implement the program; focus on improving the operational efficiency of cooperatives and cooperative unions; timely and effectively implement policies to attract enterprises to invest in the agricultural and rural sectors; increase investment in building socio-economic infrastructure associated with urban development, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development and increasing direct enjoyment for rural residents”./.
