Promoting trade, supporting businesses to find trade opportunities

In the first 6 months of 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade organized many activities to support businesses participating in trade promotion, connect trade and develop the market with more than 300 businesses participating. Trade promotion activities are carried out both domestically and internationally in direct and online forms.

The product quality of Long An enterprises is considered equal to many enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities.

Support businesses to develop brands and markets

Long An has many potentials and strengths in developing typical products such as food processed from rice, fruits; handicrafts; OCOP products, etc. In the first 6 months of 2024, The Department of Industry and Trade has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue many plans, guiding documents and integrate many activities to implement the Campaign "Vietnamese prioritize Vietnamese goods", Long An Trade and Supporting industry Promotion Program in 2024, Plan to promote domestic production, consumption and export in 2024, etc. Department of Industry and Trade has also issued implementation plans to promote develop domestic production and consumption. The department has supported more than 300 businesses to participate in trade connection events with domestic and foreign businesses and trade promotion organizations.

At the 2024 Mekong Delta - Dong Thap Region Industry and Trade Fair, taking place from May 15 to 19, 2024, Long An Department of Industry and Trade organized and supported 8 provincial enterprises to participate in displaying and promoting with many typical products of the province such as sausages, spring rolls, bird's nest, cordyceps mushrooms, etc. At the end of the fair, 8 businesses met with more than 100 partners, including 20 partners who are particularly interested in Long An's products and have the potential to connect, are in the process of in-depth discussion towards signing a cooperation contract.

Implementing the Trade Promotion Program of Long An province in 2024, the Department of Industry and Trade supported businesses to participate in the series of events "Connecting the international goods supply chain" (Viet Nam International Sourcing 2024) taking place from June 6 to August June 2024 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (District 7, Ho Chi Minh City). This is an annual international event, which has become one of the most important and large-scale trade promotion activities of the Industry and Trade industry. The event has a scale of 400 booths with more than 300 Vietnamese and international businesses from 30 countries and territories around the world participating in displaying and introducing products. At this event, 13 provincial businesses were supported to participate. The province's businesses had more than 600 meetings with partners, with more than 120 interested partners with potential to connect and are in the process of in-depth discussion to sign cooperation contracts.

Le Nam Production Trading Service Company Limited (Moi 2 hamlet, My Hanh Nam commune, Duc Hoa district), specializes in producing vegetarian food. Representative of Le Nam - Mr. Tran Phung shared that the company has been producing food for over 5 years with more than 200 different products. Most products are consumed in the Southern market through supermarkets and convenience stores, especially directly distributed to many restaurants that process and serve vegetarian dishes. Recently, with the criteria of "clean and green", the company aims to become the leading vegetarian food producer in Vietnam. Currently, the company is gradually building a reputable brand with vegetarian products called Toji, contributing to improving the quality of life and awareness of consumers' health.

At the 3rd Ho Chi Minh City International Food Industry Exhibition in 2024 (HCMC FOODEX 2024) with the theme Connecting values ​​for mutual development, Le Nam Production Trading Service Co. Ltd. was supported by the Department of Industry and Trade to display its products and connect with participating businesses. Here, Le Nam's products were highly appreciated by guests and businesses participating in the exhibition. According to Mr. Tran Phung, this is also a good opportunity to re-evaluate product quality. They wants customers to try and give their opinions so that they can develop new products that are more unique and of better quality with more reasonable prices.

However, businesses have not focused on promoting products through media, and the packaging is not eye-catching.
