At the dialogue, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - Nguyen Van Duoc said that with the joint efforts to overcome difficulties of the entire political system and the people, especially the contribution of the business community, Long An province has achieved very important and comprehensive achievements, emerging as a bright spot in socio-economic recovery and development after the Covid-19 pandemic, becoming a safe and reliable destination of investors.

In the first 9 months of 2023, most industries and fields tend to recover and grow again; The economic growth rate (GRDP) reached 4.93%, the province's economic scale ranked 12/63 provinces and cities in the country; Total budget revenue by November 2023 reached over 16,200 billion VND (over 80% of the target assigned by the province).

Cumulative total FDI investment capital in Long An reached over 11 billion USD, ranks first in the Mekong Delta and 9th out of 63 provinces and cities in the country. The people's material and spiritual lives have improved; political security, social order and safety are guaranteed and stable; The political system is consolidated, perfected and operates more effectively.

In the spirit of accompanying and standing side by side with businesses, provincial leaders wish to understand more clearly and fully the difficulties, problems, thoughts and aspirations of businesses and entrepreneurs; especially recommendations, proposals, initiatives, and experiences for the province to have solutions, aiming for long-term, sustainable development goals.

At the dialogue, business representatives proposed that the province continue to pay attention, support and create conditions for them to invest and expand production in Long An in general and Can Giuoc district in particular. The province should speed up site clearance progress, pay attention to supporting customs procedures, recruit labor, especially high-quality labor, and have policies to support workers in difficult situations where many businesses have to cut orders.
