On April 21, Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son chaired a meeting and dialogue between leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and Provincial Business Association, Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association; Can Giuoc District Young Entrepreneurs Association; businesses operating in Can Giuoc and Can Duoc districts. At the dialogue, the majority of businesses proposed difficulties and obstacles that they are facing in the process of production and business activities. Those are relevant regulations when carrying out administrative procedures; amending the implementation of the Land Law and the Investment Law, the extension of the investment schedule from 12 to 24 months or more; land price appraisal to determine financial obligations; annual land rent; about environmental records, investment grant procedures as well as capital sources,etc.

In addition, businesses also proposed Provincial People's Committee to issue specific guidance documents for projects that were withdrawn or suspended to create conditions for investors to have a basis for implementation.

In addition, the majority of businesses also proposed difficulties in fire prevention regulations when implementing Decree No. 36 of the Government dated November 24, 2020 and Circular No. 06 of the Ministry of Construction dated 30/11/2022,etc.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son said that in the past time, although the province has many mechanisms and policies to improve the investment environment and support businesses, it has not been able to completely solve the difficulties of investors and business. Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee always understand and share the obstacles and challenges that the business community is facing.

In the coming time, the Provincial People's Committee will continue to promote the synchronous implementation of Socio-economic Development Action Plans and Programs, solutions to improve the investment environment in a drastic and consistent manner of focus.

The dialogue helps to create favorable conditions for businesses to operate

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee - Huynh Van Son wishes that the Provincial Business Association, the Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association and the business community in the province in general, businesses in Can Giuoc, Can Duoc district in particular, share the difficulties with the province; continue to accompany the province in implementing the recovery plan and economic development goals, ensuring the feasibility and effectiveness in practice.

In addition, the provincial leader suggested that the business community needs to be bold and proactive in changing the way of thinking and doing, strongly applying technology and digital transformation into production and business activities, constantly research and apply new management thinking in line with the trend of the economy in order to quickly adapt and integrate, towards participating in the global value chain.

Currently, in Can Giuoc and Can Duoc districts, there are about 2,260 operating businesses with registered capital of 88,000 billion VND (accounting for 25% of registered capital and 14% of the number of businesses in the province). Particularly in the first quarter of 2023, Can Giuoc established 34 new businesses, but also suspended 34 businesses, dissolved 16 businesses; Can Duoc established 27 new businesses, suspended 10 businesses, dissolved 3 businesses./.
