According to the report of the PEC, the election of members of the NA and People's Councils at all levels in Long An was carried out in a thoughtful and timely manner according to the direction of the Central Government. Party Committees and authorities at all levels focus on leading and directing drastically and concentratedly, ensuring the timeline and the order of implementing the election work. The organizations in charge of the election work show a high spirit and responsibility, closely coordinate with branches and levels in the implementation process.

For the results of the second consultation, the province was assigned 8 delegates (3 were nominated by the central government, 5 were nominated by locality) by the National Election Commission, the number of 17 introduced delegates will be nominated for candidates (among them, 3 are introduced by the Central Government and 14 are introduced by the locality).

For members of provincial People's Council, the number of elected delegates is 60 people, the number of nominated candidates is 112 people. For district People's Council deputies, the number of elected members is 476 people, the number of nominated candidates is 912 people. For commune People's Council members, the number of elected delegates is 4,866 people, the number of people who are nominated is 9,078 people.

The localities in the province have also completed collecting opinions of voters at their residence for candidates to the National Assembly and provincial People's Councils. At the consultation meetings, the candidates are highly appreciated by voters for their qualifications, abilities, ethical qualities, lifestyle; to be trusted by the people and eligible for candidacy under Article 22 of the Law on Organization of the National Assembly.

The commune People's Committee in the province has completed the listing of voters. According to the preliminary report, the province has more than 1.2 million voters and 1,298 polling stations, respectively establishing 1,298 electoral teams. In addition, the propaganda and prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic are strictly carried out. The province will hold the third consultative conference and make an official list of candidates for the National Assembly and People's Council candidates on April 16, 2021.

He suggested that all levels and localities in the province continue to implement Directive No. 45 dated June 20, 2020 of the Politburo, documents and resolutions of the NA, NEC, Directive of the Prime Minister, and so on in implementing the election of the XVth NA and the People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021 - 2026 to ensure compliance with the law, safety, economical way, quality and as a festival day of the whole people.
