Support the application of pineapple candy production line from local industrial promotion capital
Department of Industry and Trade, the Center for Industry and Trade Promotion in collaboration with Department of Economy and Infrastructure of Thanh Hoa district, Long An province have just organized the acceptance test and put the pineapple candy production line into operation at Kim Thoa business household.

Kim Thoa business household (hamlet 5, Tan Tay commune, Thanh Hoa district) is owned by Ms. Tran Thi Kim Thoa. This is also the start-up business model of Kim Thoa's family, in order to use raw materials from local pineapples to increase their value.
Realizing that the start-up model is suitable for local economic development, Center for Industry and Trade Promotion surveyed and decided to coordinate and support Kim Thoa business household to build an industrial promotion project using local funds. The project has been implemented since August 2022.
Pineapple candy production line ensures food safety and hygiene
The total cost of implementing the project is 256 million VND. The local industry promotion fund supported 125 million VND and the rest is the reciprocal capital contributed by beneficiary.
Withthe abundant local pineapple raw material, Kim Thoa business household has many years of experience in making candies from pineapples. In particular, this household is also determined to make pineapple candy OCOP products of the district and province. Therefore, they boldly invested in pineapple candy production line to gradually build the self-contained production, improve productivity, quality, and ensure food safety and hygiene. The pineapple candy production line is invested with a slug pot, a rolling machine, a cutting machine, and a finished product packaging machine with a capacity of 50 to 150 packages of candy per minute.
Director of Center for Industry and Trade Promotion - Tran Thanh Toan said that it is necessary to support households to start a business through industrial promotion programs. Thereby, encouraging business households to use advanced technology in the production process, helping to produce pineapple candy products that meet quality and food safety standards. This start-up model is expected to create more jobs for rural workers, diversify products from pineapples to meet the increasing demands of customers.
