Tan Thanh: Townlet embankment project started construction with cost of over 309 billion VND
Tan Thanh district of Long An province started construction of the townlet embankment project with a length of about 3,770 meters, starting at the Canal 12 bridge in the territory of Tan Thanh townlet and ending at the junction of National Highway (NH) N2 – NH 62 in the territory of Kien Binh commune, Tan Thanh district (the South bank); from Canal 12 bridge (old rope bridge) in the territory of Tan Thanh townlet and the end point ends at Canal 43 bridge in the territory of Kien Binh commune of Tan Thanh district (the North bank).
Tan Thanh starts to construct the townlet embankment project with a cost of over 309 billion VND
With the design of the embankment structure in the form of prestressed concrete sheet pile walls, with a total cost of about 309 billion VND, the investment capital is supported by the central budget and the provincial budget. The project is invested by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the time and progress of the project is implemented in period 2021 - 2024.
This is a project built to prevent landslides along the Duong Van Duong canal route (section from Canal 12 to the junction of NH N2), the poject contributes to stabilizing houses and creating a safe corridor for the NH 62 route through Tan Thanh townlet. At the same time, the project proactively responds to climate change, prevents increasingly serious landslides for the region, ensures the safety of lives, property and local people's lives, protects fresh water sources in the area dry season, creates favorable conditions for the restructuring of crops and livestock, in order to improve people's lives.
In addition, the embankment project of Tan Thanh townlet contributes to the construction of an arterial waterway connecting the Tien River with the center of the Dong Thap Muoi region to the Vam Co Tay river and neighboring provinces. It increases connectivity, aesthetic appearrance, connect with Duong Van Duong canal embankment route along Provincial Road 829 of Tan Thanh townlet, develop infrastructure, create landscape, urban embellishment in the center of Tan Thanh townlet, contributing to promoting socio-economic development for the locality and Long An province./.
