At the courtesy visit, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Thanh gave an overview of the reorganization of the local administrative units. Accordingly, the new Tay Ninh province was officially established on the basis of merging two localities, Long An province and Tay Ninh province, in accordance with the Central Government's policy to streamline the apparatus and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of operations.

In terms of geographical location, Tay Ninh is located in the Southeast region - the most dynamic economic region in the country—bordering Ho Chi Minh City in the East, being a strategic gateway connecting Ho Chi Minh City with the Mekong Delta, and an important transit point in trade with Cambodia through 4 international border gates.

“With its inter-regional and international location and an increasingly synchronous, complete and inter-regional transport infrastructure system, Tay Ninh has all the conditions to develop into a new industrial and logistics center in the Southern region. In addition, the province owns a large clean land fund, flexible investment attraction policies, a transparent business environment and abundant human resources - these are all attractive factors for Japanese investors.” affirmed Mr. Nguyen Hong Thanh.
