Vehicles allowed to pass Binh Hiep - Prey Vor Border gate from May 26

According to the Official Dispatch No.1226/SGTVT-VT of Long An Department of Transport, from May 26, commercial and non-commercial road vehicles will be allowed to pass Binh Hiep (Kien Tuong town, Long An province, Vietnam) - Prey Vor (Svay Rieng province, Cambodia) Border gate.

In particular, commercial vehicles include passenger cars on fixed routes, contractual passenger cars, tourist cars (from 10 seats or more, including driver); 5-seat taxis (including driver); trucks, tractor trailers, trailers or semi-trailers following the trailers. Trucks or tractors connected to trailers or semi-trailers are considered as one vehicle.

Non-commercial vehicles with no more than 9 seats (including driver) include public - duty vehicles of agencies and organizations (vehicles of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly and the Government, offices of ministries and ministerial - level agencies, government - attached agencies); vehicles of diplomatic agencies, embassies, international organizations, non - governmental organizations which are based in Vietnam; vehicles of political, political - social organizations, unions, central and local non - business organizations. 

These also consists of vehicles driven by foreigners, vehicles used by a person whose passport is from the third country (not from Vietnam or Cambodia); fire trucks and ambulances.

The General Department of Roads grants Vietnamese - Cambodian transport permits for vehicles of ministries and ministerial - level agencies; diplomatic agencies, embassies, international organizations and non-governmental organizations which are based in Hanoi; vehicles of political, political and social organizations and unions at the central level; commercial vehicles of enterprises and cooperatives.

The local Department of Transportation grants Vietnamese - Cambodian transport permits for commercial vehicles of other agencies, organizations and individuals in the locality.

In addition, the Department of Transportation where the border gate is located grants permits for non - commercial vehicles of organizations and individuals of other provinces and cities of Vietnam when these vehicles pass the border gate managed by this department.

Long An Provincial People's Committee assigns the Department of Transport to cooperate with the Ministry of Transport and related agencies in the province to prepare the Opening ceremony at Binh Hiep International Border Gate, which is expected to take place on May 26./.
