Developing link chain to plant bananas for export

Currently, banana brand named Fohla is widely introduced in the domestic market and exported to foreign countries, including Japan - one of the most fastidious markets in the world. The workshop aims to create a link between the company and farmers to expand the supply of Fohla banana products to ensure export standards of the world market as well as contribute to stabilizing the economic life of farmers in the district and nearby areas.

Huy Long An Co., Ltd. also pledged that it would ensure the farmers’ output products if they linked up. Besides, the company also supports seeds, fertilizers, techniques of proper care. In order to meet the quality of export standards, it is required to follow the process of high technology application, so the investment capital must be about VND 150 million per hectare. Military Bank of Long An Branch will support 100% of capital for farmers to implement the model.

Chairman of Duc Hue District People's Committee, Long An Province – Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nguyen said that the favorable factors such as capital, seedlings, planting techniques, care process and product output made the production successful, the local climate and soil are also suitable for growing bananas with high efficiency and ensuring export standards. Mr. Nguyen hopes that farmers will implement link model for exporting bananas to increase the chain of product value in the district in the future./.
