Enterprises and traders accompany the province’s development aspirations

The 1st Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure is not only a major political event following the administrative reorganization, but also a convergence of the people’s trust and aspirations — including those of enterprises and small traders who contribute to the province’s economic growth.

Mr. Ngo Tran Ngoc Quoc, Director of Tran Quoc Trading, Transport and Import-Export Co., Ltd., Chairman of the Tay Ninh Tourism Association:

After the new Tay Ninh Province was formed through the merger of Tay Ninh and Long An, we have seen strong growth in domestic tourism. Notably, major corporations such as Sun Group have chosen Tay Ninh as an investment destination, leaving a positive impression on visitors and gradually shaping the province’s distinctive cultural identity. We pay close attention to local government policies promoting tourism and hope to see clearer, more consistent regulations to avoid overlaps in tourism business management. We also expect the provincial authorities and relevant departments to adopt concrete plans and measures to support enterprises in tourism development. Only with such coordinated efforts can Tay Ninh’s tourism truly make a breakthrough and secure its position on Vietnam’s tourism map.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Anh Tuan – Director of Vuon Nha Minh Co., Ltd. (Nhut Tao Commune, Tay Ninh Province):

My company produces, processes, and distributes clean agricultural products, focusing on organic and circular farming. I am pleased that the province is placing significant attention on developing high-tech agriculture and building agricultural brands that prioritize safety and quality.

However, for enterprises and small traders joining the province’s development drive, major obstacles remain — including limited access to capital, technology, and stable distribution channels. I hope this Party Congress will introduce specific policies to help businesses and cooperatives access preferential loans, apply technological advances — especially in processing and post-harvest preservation — and strengthen supply–demand linkages so that Tay Ninh’s farm produce can reach supermarkets, modern retail chains, and e-commerce platforms.

Green agriculture can only be sustainable when there is close cooperation among enterprises, cooperatives, and farmers to form an integrated value chain — thereby improving farmers’ incomes while affirming the position of Tay Ninh’s agricultural products in the market.

Mr. Ho Van Ben – Owner of Tam Ben Dried Beef Facility (Hiep Hoa Commune):

My family has been engaged in dried beef production for more than 20 years. It is not only our means of livelihood but also a source of pride, as Tam Ben dried beef production has become a well-known specialty of the region. Thanks to the province’s support under the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) program and trade promotion initiatives, my facility has had more opportunities to join fairs and exhibitions, bringing our products closer to customers both inside and outside the province.

In my view, what small producers and traders need most is broad product promotion and stable market linkages. We make quality, safe, and hygienic products, but without communication and market connection support, it is difficult to compete with major brands. I hope local authorities will pay more attention to promoting local products and expanding distribution channels through supermarkets, convenience stores, and e-commerce platforms.

In addition, I wish to gain access to preferential loan programs and training in production management. Traditional producers like us have experience and craftsmanship, yet we still need more knowledge on packaging, labeling, and brand protection to enhance product value. I believe that with the province’s support and the people’s determination to innovate, Tay Ninh’s specialties, including Tam Ben dried beef, will continue to strengthen their position in the market.

Ms. Luu Thi Kim Chau – Owner of Co Chau Traditional Vietnamese-style Sausage Facility (Can Duoc Commune):

My family has been engaged in Vietnamese-style sausage making for generations, regarding it as part of our hometown’s cultural heritage. However, what worries me most is that younger people today are less interested in traditional crafts, with many choosing factory jobs instead of continuing their family trade. Without timely training and support policies, many traditional occupations risk disappearing. In addition to challenges in market access and capital, the current pressing issue is the shortage of skilled labor. Vietnamese-style sausage production requires great care to preserve its distinctive flavor while ensuring food safety and hygiene.

I hope the province will organize training courses on traditional food processing and create conditions for small facilities to join concentrated production clusters, where they can learn from one another and comply with common standards. I believe that with clear incentive policies, more families will be confident to invest, and younger generations will feel encouraged to continue the craft, helping preserve the province’s cultural identity.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc – Owner of Khanh Ngoc Cosmetics Store (Kien Tuong Ward):

What concerns me most at present is a transparent business environment that protects the reputation of genuine products. Although market management has been strengthened in recent times, counterfeit and substandard goods still appear, affecting both consumer rights and traders’ credibility. Therefore, I hope the province will take stronger action against trade fraud while supporting small traders in promoting authentic products and raising consumer awareness in product selection. At the same time, small businesses should be assisted in adopting digital tools such as inventory management software, product traceability, and cashless payment systems to keep pace with modern trends.

A transparent market will boost consumer confidence and help traders strengthen their commitment to long-term business. I expect that following this Congress, the province will introduce specific policies to create breakthroughs in the trade and service sector.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang – Trader at Duong Minh Chau Market (Duong Minh Chau Commune):

In recent years, small traders have faced difficulties as consumer demand has declined. The local authorities have upgraded and repaired deteriorated market infrastructure, but I hope that in the new tenure, provincial and communal leaders will engage in dialogue and listen to traders’ concerns to introduce appropriate support policies for business activities.

I also believe that after this Party Congress, a capable and dedicated leadership team will continue to drive Tay Ninh toward stronger development.

Ms. Duong Thi Gai – Dried Fish Trader at Tan Hung Market (Tan Hung Commune):

We small traders always follow each provincial Party Congress with great interest, especially this first one after the administrative reorganization. In recent years, the provincial leadership has invested in infrastructure and introduced various support policies for small traders. However, at border-area markets like Tan Hung, facilities remain degraded, environmental sanitation is inadequate, and parking areas are too small — all of which make trading activities difficult.

Therefore, I hope the province will pay greater attention to investing in commercial infrastructure, particularly in traditional markets, to provide traders with a more spacious, safe, and civilized business environment. I also wish to see more support in promoting and introducing border specialties such as dried fish and fermented products to wider markets, helping traders earn stable incomes while preserving the distinctive products of their homeland.

The opinions shared by small traders, small-scale enterprises, and production facilities reflect their trust, optimism, and expectations toward the 1st Congress of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025–2030 tenure. Each voice also conveys a sense of responsibility and shared commitment to building a more prosperous and modern Tay Ninh./.
