Export turnover reachs over 3.3 billion USD in the first half of 2023
Long An has about 900 enterprises participating in import and export. In which, there are over 320 foreign-invested enterprises with diversified export products. The export market is constantly expanding as the goods of the province have been presenting in over 110 countries and territories. The quality of exported products has gradually improved, enhancing competitiveness.

Export turnover in 6 months of 2023 reached over 3.35 billion USD, import turnover reached 2.14 billion USD. In particular, in 2022, Long An had 3 export products with turnover of over 1 billion USD, including 1.5 billion USD in textiles; 1.3 billion USD in footwear; 1.1 billion USD in agricultural and aquatic products (rice, cashew, coffee, aquatic products, vegetables, etc.).
In the context of the economy facing the risk of inflation, the USD exchange rate has increased. Inflation and economic recession are taking place in many countries around the world, causing many impacts to reduce global consumption demand, which is detrimental to Vietnam's import and export activities. Following the direction of Provincial People's Committee, the Department of Industry and Trade is actively implementing many solutions to export the province's advantageous products to markets that have signed the CPTPP, EVFTA, and UKVFTA trade agreements.
The Department of Industry and Trade is supporting enterprises to find new consumption markets and organize training, provide information on FTAs, tariff and non-tariff barriers, food safety and hygiene, origin of goods; supporting export enterprises and potential export enterprises of the province to implement and complete the documents and procedures for joining export e-commerce platforms such as Alibaba, Amazon; introducing and providing information on key export enterprises of some markets in the world; especially, promptly monitoring the customs clearance situation at border gates to support enterprises to maintain operations. export goods to the Chinese market./.
